Born into an artistic family, father was a sculptor from young age, and both sisters studied art. Ceramics was never far away. I never though I would follow in my dads foot steps, but after battling with depression, I took up a ceramics class at the St-John College Cork, were Jim Kelleher was teaching a Ceramics Sculpture class, and I fell in love allover again with the art of creating ceramics. After this; I took a Ceramics pottery class with Jim Kelleher at CSN Cork.
Further development was done through day courses at the Craft Council of Ireland In Thomastown.
Now I have my own studio in Dunmanway, where I can let my creative juices flow. I am most passioned about making my own ceramic glazes from scratch, the chemistry behind these is the most importend factor. Currently I create ceramic sculptures and functional ceramic pottery on commission.
